FB-MCFAS-POE series is a PoE media converter for fiber optic with 10/100 Base-TX to 100Base-FX , allowing powering remote devices via same Ethernet cable.

Applications

Fiberbit's PoE Media Converters Fiber Optic type transparently connect copper to fiber while providing Power over Ethernet ( PoE ) to standards-based PoE compliant devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones and wireless access points. POE media converters simply combine data received over a fiber optic link with -48VDC, 52V or 25VDC (depending on model).

PoE media converter fiber optic
Description

  • The POE media converters fiber optic combine data received over a fiber optic link with -24, 48 or 52 VDC power; providing power to Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) Power Devices (PD) over unshielded twisted pair cable. Fiberbit's POE media converters fiber optic come in 10, 100, or 10/100 Power-over-Ethernet protocols.

  • PoE media converters provide network distance extension with fiber cabling, and function as PoE injectors that enable powering devices such as IP-phones, video conferencing equipment, IP cameras and WiFi devices with Power over Ethernet (PoE) over UTP cabling.

  • PoE media converter that provides 10/100 BASE-T UTP to 100BASE-FX or 100BASE-X fiber and supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE and POE+). A variety of port configurations are available, including single or dual UTP or SFP ports.

  • Complied with IEEE802.3at or IEEE802.3af standard, the AC/DC powered PoE media converter is a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) which combines data transfered over a fiber optic link with 48V (or other voltage) power supply, providing power to IEEE802.3at or IEEE802.3af powered device (PD) over CAT5e/CAT6 UTP cable (cable length up to 100meters / 330feets).

  • The converter includes a single port PSE controller, which offers PD signature sensing and power monitoring features. Other features include over-current protection, LFP function, etc. The LFP (Link Fauit Pass-through) allows the media converter to monitor both the fiber and copper RX port for loss of signal. In case of a loss of RX signal on one media port, the converter will automatically disable the TX signal to the other media port, thus passing through the link fault.
